Meet Pastor Jim
Senior Pastor Jim Anderson
Jim Anderson has been the senior pastor of The Harbor since February 1998. He and his wife Dawn have been married since 1974. Together they have four children: Aaron (married to Jill in 2003), Michael, Nathan and Amy, and three grandchildren - Brady, Ellie Hope and Riley.
Pastor Jim is a graduate of Augustana College with BA degrees in Sociology and Business. He has been in full-time ministry since 1978 with experience as a senior pastor, church planter, associate pastor, youth minister and church consultant. He has studied theology and practical ministry through Fuller Church Growth Institute and other ministry training programs. Much of his training has resulted from mentorships with several great pastor-leaders, with whom he has been privileged to work with over the past thirty years.

Pastor Jim first served as a consultant and associate pastor on staff at The Harbor (then Jubilee Christian Center) from 1994 to 1996. In 1998 he succeeded founding pastors Dennis and Julie Matula, who resigned in 1996.
He is also president of Harvest Impact Ministries, a consulting firm that specializes in working with churches and para-church ministries. Locally, he is involved as a chairperson of the South Washington County Ministers Fellowship and as a board member for the Minnesota Family Council.
In 1985, Jim helped found an international association of ministers and churches called Harvest Network International(HNI) (originally known as The Association of Evangelical Charismatic Ministries or the AECM). He has been a member of the national overseeing board of that association since 1989. In 2005 he became the fifth person to lead HNI as presiding overseer. The headquarters of the organization are now at The Harbor.
